Hamilton M. Millwee

    Hamilton Millwee has served as an adjunct professor, teaching Antitrust Principles at the University of Alabama School of Law since January 2025. He currently works for the Tennessee Attorney General, where he leads and litigates high-stakes antitrust and consumer protection matters. Hamilton spearheaded the multistate investigation into Live Nation’s monopolization of live entertainment and was a member of the trial team that delivered a complete jury victory on all counts. As a member of the negotiating committee for multistate opioid litigation, Hamilton has secured billions of dollars for opioid abatement nationwide. He has litigated against companies at every level of the opioid supply chain, hammered out strong injunctive terms, and implemented those terms to deliver meaningful relief to affected communities. Other relevant experience includes negotiating a “clean sweep” divestiture for relevant geographic markets in the $1.5 billion take-private acquisition of SP-Plus Corporation by Metropolis, litigating the Google Play Store case to a $700 million settlement, and securing a jury right in Tennessee’s social media platforms litigation against Meta. Prior to joining the TNAGO full-time, Hamilton served as a Steiger Fellow (2018–19) and clerked for the Hon. L. Scott Coogler in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama (2020–21).

    Hamilton graduated magna cum laude from Alabama Law, where he was a Senior Editor for the Alabama Law Review and champion of the Campbell Moot Court competition. He was inducted into the Order of the Barristers and the Bench & Bar Legal Honor Society. He received his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Boston University, cum laude.
