The Princeton Review ranked the University of Alabama School of Law #8 in the nation for Federal Clerkship placements in its 2025 rankings. Among public law schools, Alabama ranked #3. The list is based on the percentage of 2024 J.D. graduates who secured a federal judicial clerkship.
This list was announced after Above The Law recently placed Alabama Law #8 among all public law schools and U.S. News & World Report ranked Alabama Law the #1 public law school for graduates having the most favorable salary-to-debt ratio.
These metrics are a reflection of the high quality and volume of opportunities afforded to students at Alabama Law. Whether arguing before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, participating in our DC externship program, or serving rural communities throughout the state, Alabama Law students gain both hands-on experience and strong theoretical foundations, preparing them to become successful attorneys and leaders on the global stage.
