Prof. Daiquiri Steele Elected to American Law Institute

Professor Daiquiri Steele, The University of Alabama School of Law

Professor Daiquiri Steele, Associate Professor and Irving & Frances Silver Faculty Scholar at Alabama Law, has been elected to the American Law Institute (ALI). ALI is the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and improve the law.

Prof. Steele joins a distinguished group of lawyers, judges, and academics, including several Alabama Law faculty members: Dean Bill Brewbaker, Prof. Bryan K. Fair, former Dean Charles W. Gamble, Prof. Ronald Krotoszynski, Prof. Kenneth Rosen, and Prof. Joyce Vance.

“For the past 100 years, The American Law Institute has aspired to strengthen and improve the legal system,” said ALI President David F.
