Alabama Law Hosts Jonathan Skrmetti for Inaugural Attorney General Luther Strange Public Service Lecture

On February 16, Jonathan Skrmetti, Tennessee Attorney General and Reporter, delivered the inaugural Attorney General Luther Strange Public Service Lecture at the Law School.

General Skrmetti spoke about the importance of the rule of law and lawyers’ role in upholding the United States’ system of justice. He also took questions from the audience.

The Attorney General Luther Strange Public Service Lecture Series was established last year by Hon. Luther Strange, former Alabama Attorney General and U.S. Senator for Alabama. For each lecture, a prominent public figure who has performed exemplary public service shall be invited to address the Alabama Law community to share insights from their career and emphasize the responsibility of legal professionals to strengthen the rule of law and serve the public good.
