Jennifer Mart-Rice joined the Alabama Law faculty in 2025 and serves as the Associate Dean of Legal Information Services for the Bounds Law Library and Associate Teaching Professor of Law in Residence. Her teaching and research interests include legal research pedagogy, solo practice, library collections, and the intersection of law and technology.
Prior to joining Alabama Law, Mart-Rice served as the Associate Director at the University of Iowa Law Library, the Head of Collection Services at the Washington and Lee University School of Law, and an Assistant Director and Assistant Professor at Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law. She practiced law in Indiana and is an inactive member of the Indiana bar. Jennifer earned her Master of Science in Library Science from the University of Kentucky, law degree from Northern Kentucky University, and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Indiana University (Bloomington).
