James Leonard

Professor Emeritus of Law

Vice Dean Leonard received his J.D., M.L.S., and B.A. degrees from the University of North Carolina. While in law school, he was a member of the North Carolina Law Review. Vice Dean Leonard served as director of the law library at Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law from 1986 to 1997 and directed the legal writing and research program from 1986 to 1992. He was appointed director of the Bounds Law Library at Alabama in 1998, James M. Kidd Sr. Professor of Law in 2010, Interim Vice Dean for the Law School in 2013, and Vice Dean in 2014. He teaches courses in employment law area and has published in the fields of employment law, federal jurisdiction, and language policy.
