Streamlined Admissions Process

The following is information for those who received an invitation from the University of Alabama School of Law to apply through a streamlined and expedited application process. While we encourage a full application for admissions review, which helps us pair you with the best scholarship opportunities, we are willing to review your application without a personal statement or letters of recommendation because you appear to be a great match for our academic environment. Through this streamlined process, we’ll make an admissions decision within 10 business days after your file is complete. And if admitted, you will receive full consideration for significant scholarship offerings.

When you apply through LSAC’s website, you should do the following simple steps:

  1. Select the “Fall 2025 – Alabama JD First Year Application”.
  2. Complete the application questions and upload a resume.
  3. Save the following statement in a word processing document and upload it in the personal statement section:
    • “Please allow this document to serve as notice that the School of Law Admissions Office invited me to apply through a streamlined process and waived my requirement to submit a personal statement and a letter of recommendation.”
  4. Submit your application.

Once your application is complete, we will expedite the review of your application and make a decision (admit, deny, or waitlist) within 10 business days.
