Please note that if you do not contact us beforehand, you may be temporarily blocked from registering from these courses.
WAITLISTS & MAX HOURS
If a course you want to enroll in fills up before you’re able to register for it, you can add yourself to the waitlist by entering the CRN through the ADD or DROP A COURSE function in myBama. Schedule Builder WILL NOT automatically put you on a waitlist if a course is full.
You will not be added to a course off the waitlist, even if a spot opens up in that course, if you are registered for another course that meets at the same time or if adding the course to your schedule would mean that you are registered for more than 16 hours.
If a seat becomes available in a course, students will be added in the order they appear on the waitlist. This will be the case even after the University cancels its waitlists.

Please note that, due to an error in the UA system, the following 3 courses do not appear in Schedule Builder.

- LAW 735-001 (51304) – Criminal Procedure: Pretrial – 3hrs – Mondays & Wednesdays – 5:30-6:45
You can register for these courses manually
using the ADD or DROP CLASSES function in myBama.
Additionally, the following courses erroneously appear in Schedule Builder, even though they are not offered this fall:
- LAW 821 – Public Interest Lawyering
- LAW 823 – English Legal History
SELECTIVE ENROLLMENT COURSES
As a reminder, some courses have selective enrollment and are only open to students who are approved for those courses. You will not be able to enroll yourself in these courses, which include clinics, externships, journals, and competition teams, without prior approval from the Registrar’s Office. If you have been approved for these courses, you should contact me for additional information about how to add them to your Fall schedule
