Alabama Law Alumni Gather at Huntsville’s New Federal Courthouse

Dean Brewbaker with Alumnae Jeanne Rizzardi

Alabama Law alumni gathered in Huntsville this summer for a reception inside the Northern District of Alabama’s newly dedicated federal courthouse, bringing together graduates who last shared a classroom years or decades ago. The event reflects the Law School’s ongoing effort to keep alumni connected to the Capstone community and to one another, wherever their careers have taken them.

The reception was held on August 27 and made possible by Judge Liles C. Burke (’94), an Alabama Law alumnus who invited the school to celebrate inside the courthouse. Dean Bill Brewbaker addressed the group, and the evening drew a strong turnout of alumni of all ages, enjoying good food, great conversation, and the opportunity to reconnect with old classmates.

The moments captured that night, class years and career stages mixing freely in one room, are what alumni events like this one are meant to produce.

The Huntsville reception is part of a broader slate of alumni events Alabama Law hosts each year across the state and beyond. Learn more and find an upcoming reception near you at law.ua.edu/alumni.
