Associate Director Walter earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from the University of Georgia, his Masters of Library and Information Studies from the University of Alabama, and his Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School. In addition to his work in the Bounds Law Library, he teaches in the 1L Legal Research Program. He began his legal career working as Elections Counsel for the State of Ohio and then as a Staff Attorney for the Alabama Disability Advocacy Program. Immediately before joining the University of Alabama School of Law, he was Assistant Dean of the Weekend JD Program at the Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he also taught in the area of Election Law.
