Erin Hardin is a native of Wedowee, Alabama, and a 2009 graduate of Randolph County High School.
Ms. Hardin is an alumna of Troy University, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2013 with a degree in Criminal Justice. She earned her Juris Doctor in 2016 from The University of Alabama School of Law, where she was a member of the Law & Psychology Review, worked as a research assistant for Professor Heather Elliott, and participated in the University of Fribourg study abroad program in Fribourg, Switzerland.
For most of her law school and legal career, Ms. Hardin has concentrated her work in the area of criminal law. While in law school, Ms. Hardin completed an externship with the Tuscaloosa County Office of the Public Defender and worked as a law clerk for the Birmingham criminal defense firm Jaffe, Hanle, Whisonant, and Knight, P.C. After graduating from Alabama Law, Ms. Hardin worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Tuscaloosa County District Attorney’s Office. As a prosecutor and litigator, Ms. Hardin handled a felony and misdemeanor case load that included capital murder and murder offenses during the pre-trial and trial stages. Before working as a prosecutor, Ms. Hardin was a general practice Associate Attorney for Wayne L. Williams & Associates, LLC. Ms. Hardin is an active member of the Alabama State Bar and the Tuscaloosa County Bar Association.
Currently, Ms. Hardin is responsible for recruitment, including traveling to represent the Law School and event planning.
